Princh
Princh is a third party service that allows patrons to print documents, PDFs, and images directly from their personal devices (phones, laptops, etc.). Instructions on how to use Princh are by the Library’s printer and at the circulation desk, and staff are available to assist.
Fax
The Library’s fax machine is in the workroom, so staff members send the faxes. Cover pages are available if needed.
Payment is via cash or check only; the Library does not own a card reader and cannot take electronic payment for these services.
Public Computers
Library patrons can log on to one of our public computers using their MORE library card or by requesting a guest pass at the circulation desk. Learn about our technology use policy on our Library Policies page.
Open Wi-Fi
The Library offers free Wi-Fi in and around the building 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No password is required. Learn more about our wireless access policy on our Library Policies page.
Meeting + Study Rooms
The Library has two small study rooms, a medium-sized meeting room, and a large conference room, all available for public use as outlined in the meeting and study room general rules on our Library Policies page.
Tax Forms
The Library orders a variety of commonly-used tax forms each year, ordered based on previous years’ usage. Depending on shipping times, they are available from late January until they run out, or until the extension filing date (October 15) has passed. Additional tax forms can be printed by request for the standard price of 10 cents a page.
Libraries are not required to offer tax forms to residents; they are a courtesy.
Test Proctoring
Some staff members are available as test proctors. Call ahead to schedule a test time, as staff schedules vary.
Bookstore
The Friends of the Hudson Library volunteer their time and organizational skills to run the Friends Bookstore, located upstairs on the left, past the teen area. The bookstore is a mix of local donations and withdrawn library materials. A self-service payment box is outside the bookstore, or patrons can take their purchases to the circulation desk to receive exact change if needed.
History Room
The Nancy L. Hawkinson History Room focuses on Hudson, St. Croix County, and the St. Croix Valley, though some larger Wisconsin resources are available. The collection includes books, manuscripts, maps, microfilm, newspapers, school yearbooks, phone directories, family genealogies, church books, and local cemetery indexes. History room volunteers are also available to help with research upon request.
