This is a series of four live get-togethers  hosted by local poet Lee Kisling once per month beginning on Thursday, March 24 and ending on June 9. Lee will bring poems by various poets to be read aloud and discussed. The purpose is to share some excellent modern poems that are not widely known and to talk about what makes them fine examples of the craft of poetry. Imagine that!

Thursday, May 12, 2022 – What’s the deal with Billy Collins? He makes us grin, laugh, sometimes tear up. How does he do it? We will read twelve of his poems and discuss how this most popular poet is always a character in his poems and what that teaches us about writing.

This is part of our NEA Big Read programming and sponsored by Art Reach St. Croix. Everyone welcome.
