Discovering Family History Part 2: Key Sources and Major Websites

In this session we’ll review major sources of information for your family history (vital records, census records, newspapers, military records) and explore the major websites (Ancestry, FamilySearch) where you can find these records and more.

Lois Abromitis Mackin, Ph.D., is a professional genealogist focusing on American and English research. Lois writes and teaches about genealogical records and methods, including DNA. She is a state officer for the Daughters of the American Revolution and the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America, a past president of the Northland chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists, and a past officer of the Minnesota Genealogical Society.
